In the role of Senior Business Analyst, Bert provided the Ministry of Health with a preliminary analysis, implementation plan and impact assessment for an enhanced decision support environment using data warehousing techniques. The project involved a complete review of the existing systems, development of business objectives and key issues, design of a high level architecture, formulation of a cost benefit analysis and development of an implementation strategy.

Bert was responsible for providing a review of the Service Verification Audit Group System within the Ministry of Health. This project involved an assessment of the existing system and recommendations for addressing both the current and future requirements of the program.

Bert provided his background and experience in hospital financial systems to lead an independent survey of suppliers of financial systems to BC hospitals. This survey was conducted on behalf of the Ministry of Health to determine supplier compliance to the Canadian MIS Guidelines for hospital financial reporting. Survey results were presented to the Ministry together with recommendations for addressing key issues with respect to implementation of the financial reporting standards throughout BC.
